# BuyAnAnswer

> Your link in bio, but every tip buys a real answer. BuyAnAnswer is a paid Q&A app: fans pay to ask a creator a question in USDC on the Base blockchain, the money is held safely onchain, and it is only released to the creator when they answer — refunded in full if they decline or don't answer within 7 days.

BuyAnAnswer turns a creator's link-in-bio into income. A creator claims a handle
(buyananswer.com/their-name), sets a minimum price, and shares the link. A fan opens the
board, writes a question, and pays in USDC. The payment is held by an onchain smart
contract on Base — non-custodial, so BuyAnAnswer never holds anyone's funds or keys. The
creator answers to get paid (the answer is revealed to the asker once payment settles), or
declines to refund the asker in full. If a creator doesn't respond within a 7-day window,
the asker can take their money back. Answered questions can optionally be published as a
shareable public Q&A card.

## What it is

- A paid question-and-answer marketplace for creators and their audiences.
- Money layer: USDC (a US-dollar stablecoin, 6 decimals) on Base (an Ethereum Layer-2 network).
- Non-custodial: funds sit in an audited-style smart-contract escrow, controlled by the two parties, not by BuyAnAnswer.
- Fees: a 4.2% platform fee on an answered question (the creator keeps the rest). Declining is free (asker fully refunded). Cancelling before the deadline costs a 1% fee; reclaiming after the 7-day deadline is free.
